Most green pools can be cleared within 3-7 days, depending on severity. Light green pools may clear in just a few days, while dark green or black pools can take a week or more. We'll give you a realistic timeline during assessment.
Cost depends on the severity and pool size. Light algae blooms may be a few hundred dollars, while severe cases requiring multiple treatments or drain-and-clean can cost more. We always provide a quote after assessment before starting work.
Draining is recommended when: TDS (total dissolved solids) is extremely high, there's severe staining that won't respond to treatment, calcium or scale buildup needs acid washing, or the water is beyond chemical recovery. We'll advise honestly on the best approach.
We recommend professional filter cleaning quarterly (every 3 months) for optimal performance. More frequent cleaning may be needed if you have heavy tree debris, lots of swimmers, or if your pool has had algae issues.
